Lake Plastiras.
The lake is situated in the heart of the eastern Agrafa mountains – referred by many as the “Greek Alps” - which is part of the central Pindus range.
It is an artificial lake in the plateau of Nevropolis at 750m in the municipality of Karditsa. It was completed in 1959 being supplied by the water of the Tavropos or Megdovas river, while the idea for its creation goes to the army general and politician Nikolaos Plastiras. That's why the lake is referred as Tavropos, Megdovas or Plastiras lake.
