Meet at the Kastraki village’s central squair. For the ones who would like to have a taste of top rope climbing on this peculiar conglomerate sandstone rock, in an absolutely rocky world, surrounded by huge, spectacular rock towers! After all, this is an internationally-known rock climbing site!

A good selection of climbing routes of about 15m to 20m, of various grades, well organized for top-rope climbing, is offered here, to anyone of you who wishes to have this experience! Climbing session 3.00’ to 3.30’ hours.

We meet at the west end of the Tempi valley or at the Rapsani railway station before transferred to the site.

Here is an other well known  rock climbing area. On the north rocky side of the Tempi valley and its lower rock faces along the river and just above it, there are more than 30 routes on very good limestone, ranging from traditional (up to 250m) to hard rock (up to 80m) and sport climbing (up to 25m).

For the beginner: Here, on the upper parts of the north side of the valley, on an impressive limestone rock face, the Olympos Trek team have organized a top rope climbing playground for youths and adults, about 30m high. This is a unique spot with great views lower down towards the Pinios river and the western part of the Tempi valley. Rock climbing session 3.30″ to 4.30″ hours.

We meet at the site, after our contact and the additional directions given. The site is situated close to Larisa (20’ by road) and to the E75 highway (Larisa diversion), thus, very easily accessible. It is an organized rock climbing site for the experienced climber.

The beginners’ training sector of the site is ideal for top-rope climbing and abseiling, offering a great choice of different routes from 10m to 18m and various rock games to the beginner. Being at low altitude the site is ideal for climbing even in the winter months. Rock climbing session 3.00 to 4.00 hours.

Minimum age 6 – 7 years.

We meet at our base on Kissavos or at Arioprino location or at Spilia village.

This is a very nice limestone climbing site on Mt. Kissavos (Ossa) with various routes for the experienced rock climber. The first sections of some of these routes have been selected by us for the more keen beginners – most probably the ones who have tried it before on natural rock – to try and enjoy top-rope climbing of higher level and grade in a very beautiful natural setting with nice views.

Price (beginners top rope climbing): 60€ p.p.

Information for the experienced climber: This is a climbing area for experienced climbers. It is located in the central & north Kissavos not far from our base or the Village of Spilia, at the elevation of 800 / 900m. There are 17 climbing routes from 70m to 300m length and grades from IV to VII (UIAA grading). The climbing is very pleasant on good limestone. For the site’s climbing guide, please look here.

Only for the beginner: We meet at our base on Kissavos (“Mt. Kissavos / Mt. Olympus Outdoor Activities Center) or Arioprino location, or look at the main menu in “Day-Activities” – “Activities Info” – “Rock Climbing & Abseiling”.

Both sites are located on the north east side of Mt. Kissavos (Ossa), close to our base. Their elevation ranges from 600m (Tzamia) to 1000m (Seloma). The sites are only for beginners, organized for top rope climbing. Length of routes, from 8 to 20m.
