Meet in Karitsa. The canyon lays next to Kalypso to the south. Beautiful and very green as well, but in a slightly smaller scale in size, with 6 very interesting abseils and off- path waking / crossing in amazing terrain.

The last abseil’s starting point is a wonderful rocky balcony, which will stay in your mind for a long time. The abseil lengths range from 10 to 50m!!

Start 340m – Finish 0m – Drop 340m.

Mt. Mavrovouni is the continuation of Mt. Kissavos to the south. Rakopotamos lays in the very north of Mavrovouni. We meet at the marina of Agiokampos (Agiokampos dock).

Unique formations of limestone, created by the continuous endless water flow, take our breath away after every turning along the route. The impressive contrast of the greenery against the white limestone, takes you to an amazing world of colors. 

Being a long canyon, we have split it two sections. Rako I and Rako II.

One can enjoy marvelous off path walking between each abseil of every section, as well as swimming and jumping in large deep pools. 4 abseils in the smaller first section and 6 in the longer second one, from 5m the shortest to 40m the longest. Good water throughout the year.

There is a 2-day canyoning option in Rakopotamos, doing one section per day with organized by us camping inside the canyon! Quite an experience indeed!

Actual canyoning time, 4.00’ hours for Rako I and 6.00’ to 6.30’ for Rako II. Both sections can be done as one by the very keen in 8.00′ to 10.00’ hours, or in two days with an overnight camp in the canyon.

Meet in Karitsa as for most canyons on Mt. Kissavos (Ossa). It is the continuation of Kakoskala IIa. Here, our pleasant surprise had become even greater when we first came down this section. Remarkably tall plane trees up to even 40m high, great waterfalls and fantastic rocky terraces with breathtaking views of the Aegean sea far below, accompany us from the very start all the way to the finish!

This canyon is another MUST (the other one is the Kalypso) for everyone who really appreciates the strong sence of adventure in a canyon and demanding off path crossing.

Here you will experience 8 abseils ranging from 8m to 40m!

Very green, tropics like, with beautiful waterfalls and crystal clear pools. Seven abseils ranging from 4m to 20m and very nice off-path waking take us along to the finishing point, after five very relaxing and enjoyable hours.

This canyon is ideal for adult complete beginners, as it is the best means for anyone to start off with this marvelous sport / activity.

It is ideal for anyone who loves adventures and physically demanding off path crossings in a beautiful and wild environment.

Meet at the Arioprino location. A small scale canyon – abseil lengthwise – with 11 continuous abseils and two beautiful water slides! The abseils range from 2m the shortest to 8m the longest.

This section holds an amazing mountainous beauty because of its relatively high altitude location, and the fir trees wich dominate the area.

It is really an ideal canyon for adult beginners who wish to be introduced to canyoning in a very joyful way, with small but lots of abseils!

The second half of it (last 6 continuous abseils), is ideal for families with children from 7 to 11 years of age.

Start 500m – Finish 400m. Drop 100m.

Meet in Karitsa, on the eastern slopes of Mt. Kissavos (Ossa). This section is an ideal alternative of Kalypso, a quicker but an equally exciting way for the complete beginners, families and children.

A 20’ walk up in the forest brings us to the starting point of this section. Before we start the main descent, we move up in the canyon for another 15’ to the big water fall (75m drop) of the upper part. The words are not enough to describe the place.

We enjoy a hot drink and cookies at the spot as well as jumping in the big pool below the great waterfall. Being there, you never feel that you want to leave the place, but we have to return to complete the descent.

After the beginners’ briefing, the fun begins with abseiling the first half of a 25m waterfall and watersliding the second half of it into a deep crystal clear pool, continues with fly-foxing over the second 15m waterfall and pool and ends after a fantastic abseil down the last 30m waterfall!
